Police release photos of boyfriend who connived with his friends to assault his girlfriend for allegedly cheating on him in Kwara
Fatai had invited his girlfriend, Aduke, to his house where he had gathered a couple of his friends to deal with her for allegedly cheating on him.
When she arrived at his apartment, she met some of his friends, all males, in his living room. He later began to interrogate her, accusing her of engaging in hookups.
Fatai had his friends hold Aduke’s hands and legs while he flogged her. At one point, he pulled her pants before he had a change of heart and wore her pants back.
The video from the scene of the incident was shared online and sparked outrage from Nigerians on social media, with many calling for the prosecution of Fatai and his friends.
However, in a statement released today, June 23, SP Okasanmi Ajayi revealed that the suspects have been remanded after being arraigned in court.
The statement reads;
“The Kwara State Police Command wishes to inform the general public of her swift action in response to a viral video that trended in many social media platforms, blogs and on virtually every lip yesterday, showing a young lady by name Ayomide Afolayan, other details withheld, was seen being horrendously, heartlessly and indecently assaulted by her supposed boyfriend named Jimoh Abdulfatai of Shao in Moro Local government area of Kwara State.
Her hands and legs were tightly held by four other friends of the first suspect named, Olamide Babatunde, Afeez Ayomide, Agboola Abdulsamad and Yakubu Mustapha for severe effect.
The Police in Shao got wind of this highly despicable incident which prompted a swoop on the scene; the suspects were rounded up, victim liberated and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Commissioner of Police, Cp Tuesday Assayomo psc (+), directed immediate transfer of the matter to the Command’s CID for discreet and timely investigation. The suspects confessed to the crime, and the reason adduced for their senseless action was a mere suspicion of infidelity on the part of the lady which the lady vehemently denied. In spite of the denial, the boyfriend forcefully retrieved the lady’s telephone handset and handed over the phone to one of his friends to start videoing the actions and eventual posting on social media.
Investigation done with, suspects were charged to court and were remanded in custody pending hearing and actual trial of the matter. This will serve a deterrent to other people having such criminal and appalling tendency in their minds.
The Commissioner of Police Kwara State, wishes to use this opportunity to advise parents on the need to be parents in the real sense of it; parents should monitor their children, know the kind of friends they keep so as to avert this type of ugly incident.”

The young man was reportedly traveling from Abuja to Aba, Abia state, when his vehicle was attacked on Wednesday, June 29.
Jackson was shot in the head and was rushed to the hospital, but gave up the ghost on Thursday, June 30.
It was gathered that three other people were also shot in the attack along Okigwe Road in the Okigwe Local Government Area of the state.
Friends have since taken to social media to mourn his demise.
A Facebook user Mac-f Macdonald wrote,
“Of what good is the new month when Solo Jackson is no longer here with us? What is July doing here when she allowed June to end up with our brother, the Slow Motion King? You will forever remain in our heart till the day we will join you. We miss you here brother 😢”.
Another friend of the deceased, AB John wrote,
“WHAT A BIG LOST!!!…😱
A popular and talented dancer as gone! I mean, what are we struggling and fighting for? After a whole lot of hustling in school and in street, strange bullet had the final conclusion in his life😭😭 Your death really pain me to bone. This was your time to enjoy your swet but you’re no more to be found. God please 🙏 if this is sacrifices please accept it 🙏, for the remaining of us, none shall experience a premature death again🙏😰😭😱 RIP KING SOLO JACKSON.”

Chinese father breaks down in tears after son he tutored daily for 1 year scored 6/100 on a math exam
The father who resides in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, received his son’s exam result on Thursday, June 23, and was filled with disappointment after seeing his math score.
A video trending in the Chinese cyberspace shows the father weeping uncontrollably upon seeing that his son scored only six points out of 100 in Math.
He could be seen crying in a bedroom and wiping his tears while his wife could be heard laughing in the background.
“I don’t care anymore, my efforts are wasted, let him struggle by himself!” the father was quoted as saying.
According to the child’s mother, her husband taught their son math for hours every single day for the past one year and his result really broke his heart.
She said he was mainly disappointed because their son has been failing consistently in school and has been scoring between 40-50 points in previous examinations.
In other news, a heartbreaking video circulating online shows the moment a businesswoman broke down in tears after opening a bale she bought and discovered that it was filled with rags.
In the video, the distraught woman who sells second-hand clothes also known as Okrika, could be seen crying uncontrollably as she checked the clothes in the bale.
According to her, she borrowed the money used in buying the bale and now she’s left with nothing because she can’t sell the rags.
She is heard saying, “God wetin I go do? I no get husband, children dey for school, God where are you”.
